A New Goal

I've rotated some of the quilts I had out on display.

It is fun to enjoy them on a daily basis.

This is only one of the rails I have to drape quilts on.  I feel so lucky!

I've been working diligently on my hand quilting.

Not much better on a cold winter evening to have a quilt in your lap.

I finished all of the outline quilting in and around the applique in the floor frame.  Now I have the quilt in my lap using a hoop.

So relaxing.

Hard to make cream on cream exciting in a photo.

I have also joined Nicolas Scarlet Letter Year blog.

I have a few Scarlet Letter samplers that have been languishing for years.  I have completed several and LOVE them.  This was just the motivation I needed to get going again.

I have my silk thread on mother of pearl rings and got out a color coordinated guilloche needle case.

I hope January is providing you with lots of time to stitch!

Love the railing full of quilts. I have two railings, but not that many quilts!!
Beautiful hand quilting, Dawn.
Love the sampler. I have a couple of sampler patterns from my cross-stitch phase (when it was my obsession), that I still hope to do someday.

Love your quilts!! And I LOVE cream on cream!!! perfect. Alas, I've had a little trouble with my hands this week, so not much hand quilting - must get back to it! It is cool and rainy today here, so a perfect day for quilting!!

Have a Colorful Colorado Day!!

Blessings

Your quilting stitches look perfect - no matter the color! I looked at the SL sampler blog. There is going to be some beautiful work done by this group. I can't wait to check it each month to see the progress.

You lucky one to have such a fantastic place to show your quilt. One more beautiful as the other. I think, the quilting is perfect and so easy to see.

Love your display. I used my rails for a few Christmas quilts. Looks like I need to be a copycat and try using them all year long *s*

I'm so jealous of your railing decoration! I wish I had more places to display my quilts out of the direct sunlight. Your hand quilting is looking wonderful. Glad you are getting in some relaxation time.:)

I bet when you bought your new house, those railings were the determining factor. Your quilts look great. The cold weather is heading back this weekend, have fun under your quilt. Your hand quilting looks perfect!

Our previous home had an upstairs railing like yours only not as long. It was a wonderful display place for quilts. And I changed them out often.

Love all of your quilts - isn't it great to be able to have them out so you can see them every day. Just makes the day better! Your hand quilting is really nice - such small, perfect stitches.

I have always wanted to try a sampler from Scarlett Letter but they look so intimidating!

Have you shown all those quilts individually? They are beautiful displayed on the rail. Bet they provide a good sound barrier as well as being pretty.
