It is time for some light colors to usher in spring!
Even if it isn't spring where you live - enjoy the quilts.
All three vintage quilts are hand pieced and hand quilted.
Fun colors and prints.
Like some of you we still have days of snow ahead of us.
Bringing these quilts out is like a fresh spring breeze in the house.
Read more about the quilt on the left side HERE.
It is very similar to the variation on the wall.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing these fresh beauties! As the cloudy skies are darkening with promised storms, I, too, have felt the urge for brighter colors. Have just been cutting some of the lighter repros I have segregated for just such a day as this. Your post is right along my current line of thinking! : )
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors! I am so ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how those lighter colors can lift our spirits and at least give us the allusion of spring. Beautiful quilts.
ReplyDeleteDawn!! son muy bonitos los edredones que compartes,
ReplyDeleteen España tenemos un comienzo de primavera muy revuelto, con lluvia y nieve

These gorgeous antique quilts are amazing and definitely have a cheerful Spring appeal to them. What a wonderful way to decorate for the Season!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThanx for showing! I am totally in love with the josephs coat quilt. I tried to make one block in the middle of an Antique Wedding Sampler block, similar as in the old AWS. The more tiny the harder I guess... I had a lot of trouble making it really nice and neat. That's why I appreciate the makers of these quilts even more!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts look beautiful on the wall. I have so much prim, I need to find a way to mix some bright in with it.

spring arrived here in maine with a brief but messy snowstorm that was over in a flash and almost all melted by day's end...love spring snow!
ReplyDeleteI put out a couple spring pieces. The year is flying by so fast already. I intended to make something new for spring and never got to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these spirit lifting beauties - those of us who live in cold climates really start to crave greens, pinks and yellows - anything that says Spring!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pretty quilt pics, we are still coming in and out of Spring type weather :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, fun colors and prints! I just pulled out a vintage top I got from a family friend that has lots of pink and yellow for spring. Happy Easter to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThese really are spring colors! I can imagine bringing these out and really getting that spring feeling. We are certainly ready for it over here, the daffodils and crocus are in bloom even though it is still pretty chilly. What is the weather like over there?
ReplyDeleteI surely enjoyed your collection of quilts that bring a real touch of spring! Although it is rather cold and a bit rainy overhere...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Easter!
So cheerful, perfect for spring! I am hoping spring is here to stay!
ReplyDeleteOh the Joseph's Coat is amazing ( read the other post as well ) though both are beautiful on display :)
ReplyDeleteLove your amazing quilt collection. No matter what season of the year they are uplifting.
