Front Royal Part 2

More quilts on the wall...same shop as Front Royal Part 1.

I couldn't get any closer to the red applique, the furniture was piled all around it.

I could tell it was hand appliqued and hand quilted.

This one is vary nicely hand quilted.

The red and yellow are prints.

This is a block close up.

The border has beautiful feathers.

Irish Chain on a bench in the backroom.

Block detail.

Have a great week - thanks for stopping by.

  1. Lovely!!! Do you know the pattern of the red and yellow? I find it intriguing. Thanks for sharing.

  2. It hurts me to see how that red quilt is being displayed. Ouch! I absolutely love the Irish chain quilt! Those colors are so pretty!

  3. I love the way the yellow forms a lattice. I don't do that setting type often, I should try it more.

  4. I love that red and white quilt with the gold sashing. Very nice. And an Irish Chain is always a winner. Beautiful quilts.

  5. both quilts are amazing ! oh love the way the irish chain is quilted, hmmm pink and green maybe I need to make another one !
oh that red applique one just send it my way!
the flying geese and that yellow sashing ok that is just so stunning!
imagine it in its glory of color when it was made....
    thanks for sharing

  6. Didn't you just want to rescue them all and give them a good home!?

  7. The red & yellow (the one with the lattice look) is a very graphic looking design. The maker did well.

  8. That yellow sashing is really strong! Thanks for the photos...

  9. The yellow and red quilt is most unusual. I love the simplicity of the design. Did you take none of them home?

  10. The geese, Odd Fellows-ish, quilt is so cool. The sashing is so strong, but not overpowering somehow. Thanks for sharing your photos!

  11. Worth the wait - All simply beautiful.

  12. Oh, looks like you had fun on the way home from seminar. Love the red and green quilts.
